Kuknebi - History of Georgian Dolls
Toys are an integral part of childhood. Researchers suggest that dolls have a longer history than other toys
When did the first toy appear... Where and when was the first doll discovered... What were dolls made of in Georgia... The Palace of Arts invites you to a new educational program - “Kuknebi - the History of Georgian Dolls”. Practical work will be very interesting! With the help of the presented working material, children will be able to make Georgian finger puppets.
Along with the program, they will visit Nana Kaulashvili’s extraordinary exhibition - “A Christmas Fairy Tale of Dolls”. An ophthalmologist by profession, Nana Kaulashvili is a self-taught puppeteer. With the first toy sewn for her son 10 years ago, she discovered a new talent in herself and turned it into her second and most favorite activity. Handmade dolls have now come to the Palace of Arts!
Don’t miss the opportunity to get into the fabulous world of dolls!
