My Handmade Diary

The educational programme “My Handmade Diary” invites students to explore the museum’s collections, discover the tradition of handwriting and diary keeping, and create their own handmade diaries.

14 November marks the birthday of Astrid Lindgren, the renowned Swedish children's author. To commemorate this occasion, the Art Palace – Museum of Cultural History offers school students an educational programme entitled “My Handmade Diary.”

The programme aims to encourage creativity, develop self-expression skills, and foster an appreciation of handwriting and the tradition of keeping a diary.

As part of the programme, participants will explore the museum's outstanding collections accompanied by a museum guide, take part in an interactive discussion about handwriting and the tradition of diary writing, and attend a creative workshop where they will make their own handmade diaries for recording their thoughts, ideas, and personal reflections.
