A museum workshop adapted for school programs, designed for children who are learning the Georgian alphabet, and an excellent opportunity for teenagers who are studying Georgian literature.

At Art Palace of Georgia, you will hear the story and explore the treasures of the centuries-old Georgian alphabet collection.

Primary school children will have the opportunity to learn the basics of writing in a fun and engaging way, using colorful samples of Iakob Gogebashvili’s “Mother Tongue” and alphabet materials. Students studying hagiography and Georgian literature will deepen their understanding by exploring unique manuscripts, illustrations, and old printed books preserved in the museum’s collections.

Do not miss the chance to take your child or student on a journey into the magnificent world of the Georgian alphabet. Alongside the lecture and exhibition tour, the program also includes a practical component.

In the practical part, children will work with examples of artistic Mkhedruli script (and Asomtavruli script for older students). They will also take part in a logic-based exercise, decoding Georgian folk proverbs.

The program is designed for both primary and upper-grade students.
