A Gift to the Art Palace

A long-time friend of the Art Palace, puppeteer Nana Kaulashvili, has  donated two porcelain dolls produced in 1894 by Armand Marseille.

Armand Marseille was one of Germany's most famous doll makers. He had a significant influence on the doll industry and is still considered one of the founders of its “golden age.” Marseille successfully combined beauty with industrial production, making his dolls extremely attractive and very valuable.

Before being donated, the dolls belonged to private collections in Munich. Today, they are an important addition to the Kunstpalast's collection.

We would like to express our sincere thanks to Ms. Nana Kaulashvili for this remarkable gift and her valuable contribution to enriching the museums collections.
