Exhibition "Albant"
On December 3, at 18:00, the Georgian Palace of Arts will host a presentation of a bilingual catalog depicting the work of the great Georgian artist and scenographer Soliko Virsaladze, recognized as the “Grand Master of the Symphony of Colors.”
The exhibition combines the works of two Georgian calligraphers Otar Megrelidze and Giorgi Sisauri and presents unique examples of Georgian calligraphy created by the authors to the general public. It is noteworthy that the art of both authors has already gained recognition in leading institutions around the world.
This year, based on an agreement reached between the Palace of Arts and the British National Library, several illuminated calligraphic examples prepared by the artists will be sent to the British Library and placed in the Painted Manuscripts Fund, where, unfortunately, no Georgian illuminated manuscripts have been preserved to date.
