Guram (Guka) Durglishvili personal exhibition

Guram (Guka) Durglishvili (1959–2025) was an exceptionally talented Georgian artist who devoted his life to creative freedom and artistic excellence. Born on July 22, 1959, he spent decades creating authentic works distinguished by his unique artistic vision. Art historians describe his oeuvre as a diverse painterly universe, in which each canvas stands out through its individual composition, distinctive colour palette, and surrealist and abstract elements.

One of the most significant milestones in his artistic career was his solo exhibition held in 1997, which introduced his distinctive artistic style to a wider audience. Throughout his career, the artist actively participated in numerous exhibitions both in Georgia and abroad.

Following the artist’s passing in 2025, his family undertook considerable efforts to preserve his artistic legacy. In December of the same year, Muza Gallery in Tbilisi hosted a memorial exhibition entitled “A Journey into Guka’s World,” featuring approximately 120 unique works created by the artist over the years. Today, his son, Guka Durglishvili, is actively involved in organising the artist’s creative archive, preserving his collection of paintings, and promoting his artistic legacy online.

The upcoming exhibition at the Art Palace will once again offer visitors the opportunity to immerse themselves in the artist’s distinctive artistic universe and discover the rich creative legacy of Guka Durglishvili.

Admission to the exhibition opening is free of charge.
